Disney•Pixar Cars 2: Race Around the World is a retail design portfolio[2] developed with Toys"R"Us® to promote the theatrical release of Cars 2. The marketing effort accompanied exclusive products, "digital programs," and in-store retail displays to each of the global toy chain's 1,300 locations.[1] It began approximately June 1, 2011,[1][3] with international locations likewise timing releases ahead of their respective regions' Cars 2 release dates.
