2026 is the twenty-first and current mainline series of Mattel Disney Pixar Cars die-cast vehicles. The package design and "as seen in" segments carry over from 2025, including the Race & Rescue collection. Many Walmart listings also describe "celebration" versions of existing characters, hinting at a new theme likely centered around the 20th anniversary of the original Cars film, and/or tied in with the upcoming Race to Celebrate! picture book.

This year also marks a significant manufactural change, returning once more to China after roughly 7.5 years of Thailand-based production. Most characters remain the same apart from universal differences of texture and paint quality; others sport more prominent changes with regard to color and integration of plastic components, namely the eyelid plate.

Overview

The most recent card format changes as of 2025's Case V continue into 2026, with one further update: Name translations which fall in the second row of text (i.e. non-English) are now slightly smaller compared to those in the first.

As of June 2026, the current singles mix is Case H.

Trivia

• This marks the first rerelease of Tractor with Tire in Mouth, Mike 07, Memo Rojas Jr., Flash Nilsson, Ray Reverham, Morgan Martins, Jim Reverick, Mater with #95 Hat, Bella Cadavre as well as the majority of last year's Race & Rescue vehicles.

Errors

• Transforming Lightning McQueen is still missing the Rust-eze logo on the back, following prior releases.
• The RS 24h Endurance Race variation of J.D. McPillar is used on cardbacks. This was corrected on the checklist poster.
• The Jeff Gorvette and Pat Traxson 2-pack, has multiple errors.
  • The duo are labelled as both appearing in Cars despite neither appearing.
  • Jeff Gorvette is his World Grand Prix variation, despite appearing with a seperate design in Cars 3 where Pat Traxson appears.
  • On the checklist poster, Pat Traxson is mislabled as Pat Transon.
• The Maddy McGear and Lightning McQueen 2-pack has multiple errors.
  • Lightning McQueen uses his design from the first movie, despite appearing with Maddy McGear who only appeared in Cars 3.
