Plush
Mattel has occasionally released plush toys of Cars characters: In addition to the "talking" Smack & Yak series, there have also been a handful of regular pillow-like items produced.
List of items
A plush assortment appears to have been considered for the original 2006 Cars product wave: A listing titled "Cars Plush #1 (DROP 2/22/05)" appears in the Mattel Global Consumer Support product database.[1] The item(s) may have been dropped in preference of the Smack & Yak branding, if the listing is not simply an earlier placeholder for that. The standalone Make-Me-Laugh Mater (H6450) may also have been related.
However, a plush-only line was introduced in 2007 for the Supercharged refresh. The designs and "molds" are largely the same as their Smack & Yak counterparts, though they use a much softer polyester fiber texture.

Both the Smack & Yak and regular plush products were discontinued after 2007. The idea was not revisited until 2023, with the release of a standalone Lightning McQueen character (HLT74).
