Series	Cases

2009 was the fourth mainline series of Mattel Disney Pixar Cars vehicles, heading the Race O Rama Series and continuing the numbers and segment structure from the previous mainline year.

The fourth iteration of the Cars mainline was the first not to re-release every existing model (exempting WOC and Sarge due to unique circumstances); of the 68 non-Chase cars produced so far, only 50 saw re-issue on standard-size ROR blister cards.

Near the end of Race-O-Rama's run, it brought the first-ever change to both the line's packaging size and vehicle design: From summer 2009 onwards, mainline vehicles were released in a smaller, see-through card design, and featured lenticular eyes that could be viewed in two different positions. The only exception were new Chase cars, which retained the traditional fixed eye expressions.
