Cruz Besouro is a Brazilian Volkswagen Beetle, the trainer and crew chief of professional race car Carla Veloso, including during the World Grand Prix.
History
Cruz Besouro was manufactured and raised in Brazil. He was a trainer and crew chief of Carla Veloso and was regarded to be one of the best crew chiefs in Brazil. During his races, he always acted intense and aggressive with his racers always responding with the same level of intensively during race. During one race, he was said to put 100 kilometers on his odometer by going back and forth in place while saying instruction to Veloso via his headset. In 2011, he was crew chief of Veloso during a World Grand Prix races in Tokyo, Porto Corsa and London.

- You'd think being born and raised in tropical Brazil would make Cruz Besouro the most laid-back crew chief at the WGP. Not true. Although air-cooled, that hasn't stopped Cruz from being one intense little Beetle. He's been known to put 100 kilometers on his odometer in one race just by pacing back and forth while he barks instructions in the pits. On the other hand, his driver, Carla Veloso, is pretty used to it, and she always responds with a level head. Cruz may be aggressive, but his technical knowledge of racing makes him the best chief Brazil's ever known! Pra Caramba![1]

- His surname, Besouro, in Portuguese means Beetle, referring to his vehicle model, Volkswagen Beetle.
- His registration number, FSHBWL, is an illusion to "fish bowl". was also used by: Acer, Mel Dorado, Fred Pacer, Kimura Kaizo and Carlo Maserati.
