In Cars 2, Nick is seen in Tokyo, interviewing Lightning McQueen after the first race as he asks him what happened for him to have lost to Francesco Bernoulli despite being in the lead.

Nick Cartone is a 2009 Honda Civic (FN) hatchback (even though Nick's home is in Japan, where Nick's model of Civic wasn't sold, except for the Type R as the Type R Euro). Nick's number plate reads "東京-122 み 02-28". Nick is painted a bright blue color, with orange tail lights and a gray grille.
