Shiny's slogan, A Catchy Slogan

Shiny is the owner of a car wash that Cruz Ramirez worked in way before she became a trainer.

History

In "A Catchy Slogan," Ramone's broken wax spayer reminded Cruz Ramirez of Shiny. Lightning McQueen asks who Shiny was, so Cruz begins telling him about her. She told him Shiny offered her a part-time job as an 'on-call' repair-car at the car wash she owned, due to her ability to fix things. Cruz had wondered why Shiny was called Shiny when she was literally covered in dirt and grime, and she suggested her to run through her own car wash so that she would look the part of a car-wash owner, but Shiny replied that her slogan works because of her look, which is "Don't look like me-get a car wash and see! Yippeee!".

In "Dream Big, Cruz!," after Cruz raced circles around an old tire factory because she was mad and frustrated that her aunt Carla only got tickets for a Piston Cup race for her cousins Victor and Pablo but not for her, she ran into Shiny on the way home. Shiny told Cruz that Carla told her that Cruz was mad about not getting a ticket and Cruz told Shiny that she would like to buy her own and that she'd been saving her money from fixing things at Shiny's car wash but still didn't have enough, but Shiny told Cruz that she really appreciated her help so she decided to surprise her with a ticket that she bought for her. Cruz was really happy about the surprise, and Shiny told her that she earned it and that good things happen to good cars.
