Senior Trax, often known as simply Chief Shiny Wax, is the crew chief for the Shiny Wax racing team as seen in Cars.

History

Trax's appearance in Cars, towards the back end of pit row (between the N2O Cola and Leak Less stations)

In Cars, Trax has a background appearance during the opening Dinoco 400 race scene at the Motor Speedway of the South. He is seen among the many pit row teams, commanding Nebekenezer Schmidt and the other Shiny Wax team pitties, as well as racer Darren Leadfoot via a headset speaker. Very little of him can be seen, as he is blocked by other crew chiefs during each full shot of pit row.

Trivia

• In Cars and The Offical Magazine, Senior Trax's model is the same design as Marilyn, albeit a different grille and different headlights. Whereas, his promotional artwork and die-cast model incorrectly depict him as a Haulital Lugnutter. This is because his artwork is a re-worked version of Roman Dunes's The World of Cars personality pose, and since Mattel was given that artwork, Senior's die-cast ended up as the wrong model too.
