Percy Hanbrakes is a 1944 Emerycraft Towner[1] who appears in Cars. He was a frequent visitor of Radiator Springs during the town's heyday. He has a maroon livery, and his license plate registration number is 2769, the same as Mildred Bylane and Milton Calypeer.[2]
History
In Cars, Percy appears during the flashback to Radiator Springs before the construction of Interstate 40, when the town was prosperous and booming with travelers. He is seen being towed by Mater to Flo's V8 Café as he is set down at an open station.

Trivia
- In his die-cast release in the Radiator Springs Classic series, Percy's name is spelled as "Percy Handbrakes."
- Percy's die-cast model is quite inaccurate to his render in the film.
- His eyes are a more saturated green compared to the grey they appear to be in his appearance in the movie.
- The tires are pure black with a thin whitewall, unlike the movie which has red wheels with white trim and whitewall tires.
- His model is one solid red color, but in the movie Percy is 2 shades of red, the diecast appears to be colored more towards the bottom half of the car. 
- Percy was originally expected to be released in the Mattel 2010 "Final Lap" collection, but was cancelled. He later became uncanceled in a Radiator Springs Classic 3-pack with Edwin Kranks and Brand New Mater exclusive to Toys R Us.
