The Beetles are a band of Volkswagen Beetles who appear in the Cars comic, Radiator Springs. A rock band formed in the United Kingdom, they are an homage to the former real-life group comprising John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, widely regarded as one of the most influential bands of all time.
History
At some point they took a photograph as them dressed up as hippies to be used in magazines that inspired Luigi and Guido to move to the United States. Their song "All You Need Is Love" was popular among hippies that had visited Radiator Springs.
The band members themselves are four 1960 Volkswagen Beetles, painted different colors: pink, green, red and blue and all wear toupees. One of them has Lennon sunglasses.
