Meet Finn is an alternate deleted scene where Mater meets Finn McMissile for the first time in Cars 2. Originally, Mater was traveling on a train going to Paris through the Alps, when a car lured Mater to the back carriage, which Mater finds empty, except for a nun. Tomber then spots Mater, following him to the back carriage, when suddenly, the train goes through a tunnel and the back carriage separates from the train. The nun is then revealed to be Finn McMissile in disguise, who removes the device from Mater's undercarriage. As Mater was shocked about what was going on, Finn tells Mater about a secret plan where the Lemons target the Queen of England using the races, since she is set to crown the winner after the last race in London. Finn and Mater then travel via a memory interface where Finn shows Mater the lemons sabotaging the racers in Tokyo and Porto Corsa using an antenna ball. Mater wants to warn McQueen, but McMissile tells him not to, as it will only put McQueen in danger. Finn then tells Mater to act natural, and that he'll make contact before the Paris race.
Trivia
An homage to Tron is present in this scene via Finn McMissile's memory interface technology.
This is sequentially the 5th deleted scene of Cars 2.
This is the 2nd appearance of Tomber's villain variant, the 1st being in Oktoberfest.
The idea of a device being attached to Mater's undercarriage would be reused in the final film.
While looking through the files on the device, Finn asks "Who's behind all this?" implying that like Axlerod, Zil was a behind the scenes mastermind rather than the face of the lemons' operation.
Finn references both Leland Turbo and Healey's deaths in this scene (though he simply refers to them as "agents").
Finn disguises himself twice in this scene, first as Giulia to lure Mater to the back carriage, then as a nun to fool Tomber.
This is the only deleted scene in which the Lemons appear without attacking a secret agent.
