"CIRCUS CARS? How can you be CIRCUS CARS?!"
—'Flik when he sees P.T. Flea's Circus Troupe', Cars

P.T. Flea's Circus Troupe are a group of cars that P.T. Flea recruits for his circus in the film A Bug's Life. They appear in Cars, when the Radiator Springs residents are viewing A Bug's Life. In the movie, Flik is surprised when P.T. Flea introduces him to the group, claiming that despite their flaws, they will make him rich.

Members

Blinkie

Blinkie, also known as the Circus Van, is a minivan with a paint scheme resembling that of a monkey. Their two mirrors are extremely large, and are designed to look like ears. They are presumably based on Slim the stick insect from A Bug's Life. They are a Chauncey Motors Cavalcade Touring 200.

Circus Cab

The Circus Cab is the largest member of the group. They are painted green, with an orange cap and red grille, which resembles a clown nose. They also have extremely large mirrors. They are presumably based on Heimlich the caterpillar from A Bug's Life. They are an Aeroliner Semi Cab. They are the only member who's name is unknown, because while all the other members have been included in the Cars Daredevil Garge game (which is the source of the names), the Circus Cab has not been included because they're too big.

Clutchy

Clutchy, also known as the Circus Sedan, is a Sedan that is painted white, with a red roof, a maroon grille, and gold side view mirrors. The mouth on their bumper is surrounded by red lipstick. They are presumably based on Francis the ladybug from A Bug's Life. They share the same model as Andy Vaporlock.

Beep Beep

Beep Beep, also known as the Circus Forklift, is a purple forklift and the smallest member of the group. They wear a clown nose and a red wig, not unlike the Ferrari wig that Guido sometimes wears. They are presumably either based on either Tuck or Roll, the pillbugs from A Bug's Life. They are an Alza Tutto Forklift.

Honkers

Honkers, also known as the Circus GT, is a small yellow car that has a clown nose and red painted mouth. They are presumably either based on either Tuck or Roll, the pillbugs from A Bug's Life. They are a Brawny Motor Co. Leeway GT.

Rimso

Rimso, also known as the Circus Pickup, is a pickup truck that is painted white, with a red bumper, large orange mirrors, and a red clown nose. They are likely based on Dim, the rhino beetle from A Bug's Life. They share the same model as the Nitroade Crew Chief and Trunk Fresh Crew Chief.

Their story:
"P.T. Flea's Tireless Troupe of Circus Cars might look like some small-time act, but these guys will knock your brakes pads off! They've traveled from Hartford to Hayward performing their death defying, flaming exhaust pipe jumps, and harrowing stunt driving with true professional flare!"

Trivia

  • They are based on the Circus Bugs from A Bug's Life, another Pixar film.
  • Even though there are nine insects making up P.T. Flea's circus in A Bug's Life, only six of the nine appear in the Cars version; Manny the Praying Mantis, his wife Gypsy the Moth, and Rosie the Black Widow Spider are presumably the only three members left out of the Cars version and therefore don't appear as vehicles.
  • Although these cars are supposed to be car-ified insects, none of them resemble certain types of bugs.
    • The species that they belong to could be fictional, so it's possible that they're original characters and are not car-ified versions of certain circus bugs from A Bug's Life.
  • Clutchy's die-cast is quite inaccurate.
    • Their roof color is orange instead of red.
    • Their side-view mirrors are yellow instead of gold.
  • For some reason, Clutchy is not featured on the 68th Cars Panini card, unlike all the other members of the circus troupe.
  • Beep Beep's prototype of their cancelled 2010 Mattel die-cast release and 2010 stock image depicts them with purple eyelids instead of blue eyelids.
