Images are used to illustrate the subject of an article. Before uploading a new file, check to see whether it (or an alternative) already exists, via searching or by checking the files list.

Thumbnails

• Otherwise, after reading the image use policy, you may upload a new one.

To add a file to a page:

[[File:Image name.png|thumb|Caption text. Can include any wiki syntax.]]

If you want to adjust the display size, you can add the additional parameter |Number.px (Order does not matter, with the exception of the caption, which must always be last):

[[File:Image name.png|thumb|200px|Caption text]]

Lastly, you should set the alignment: left, right, or center.

[[File:Image name.png|thumb|left|200px|Caption text]]

Galleries

A gallery is a way of displaying images that otherwise don't fit in the article as traditional thumbnail visualizations. They are created using the <gallery/> custom tag, between which each desired image can be added on a newline, along with a image|caption if desired.

Excessively long galleries can be moved to a dedicated gallery page in accordance with the guidelines.
