Gadgets are essentially CSS or JavaScript resource sheets which can be configured to user preference, and/or set to load under more specific criteria than a standard on-wiki interface allows (which is none).
Documentation
- Configure at MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition. See definition format at official documentation.
- MediaWiki:Gadget-Name (interface message) will set the label text for each preference checkbox option. MediaWiki:Gadget-Name.css (and/or
.js) will house the corresponding resource sheets to toggle.
The Gadget (2300) and Gadget definition (2302) content spaces + associated talk spaces appear to "extend"/alias the MediaWiki namespace. Advanced search is still available to return only the former.
