There exist several methods of searching the wiki. Currently, the engine is limited to full text search (MediaWiki software default), otherwise the wikitext source of the page. This means output expanded from templates and functions will not be picked up. Ideally, an OpenSearch model will be installed in the future, as to function more like how Wikipedia does.
