The Global Racers Cup is a comic featuring a rematch between Lightning McQueen and Francesco Bernoulli.

Plot

Part 1

Lightning is training on a treadmill in the Rusteze Racing Center, when he gets a call from Francesco. Francesco tells McQueen that he is coming to the United States for the first ever Formula Racing event held there, and he invites Lightning to watch him, to which the American racer accepts. Later members of the press, including Natalie Certain swarm McQueen as he leaves the Racing Center, who ask him about "the rematch" to which Lightning has no idea what she is talking about, when Bernoulli calls and formally invites McQueen to a rematch after his Formula Race, to which Lightning accepts.

Part 2

Both racers are on Chick's Picks, with Natalie Certain who says that the race will go down in history. Lightning tries to downplay calling it "just a race between old friends" with Francesco cockily replying that it will still go down in history. After the racers arrive at the starting line Chick Hicks remarks that he could make it through the track with his eyes closed. The rivals start racing, both remaining relatively close. Due to their high speeds, they don't see Max Schnell and Raoul ÇaRoule spectating, both wishing to join. After back and forth overtaking, Lightning takes the lead by drifting however Bernoulli easily catches up and they tie. Afterwards, former World Grand Prix competitors Carla Veloso, Jeff Gorvette, Miguel Camino, Shu Todoroki, Raoul ÇaRoule, and Max Schnell come up to McQueen and Bernoulli, and reveal they were all watching their rematch, and tell them that they want a rematch too. Lightning comes up with the idea to name the rematch the Global Racers Cup.
