Adventures of Tow Mater

Adventures of Tow Mater was series of comics published by Boom! Studios Comics in 2010 starring Mater as the main character. Only four issues of the planned six were released, as the last two were cancelled in January 2011.^[1]

Issue #1:

Issue #2:
- "Bubba's back, or at least he's still here. Check out Mater's new solo series as he squares off against his long-time nemesis Bubba the tow truck in the Rust Bucket Derby. Mater and Bubba are determined to answer: who is the toughest tow truck around?"
Issue #3:
- "The rust will fly as the Rust Bucket Derby shifts into overdrive when Bubba and Mater go head-to-head in a wheels off demolition race for control of Rust Bucket Stadium. Will Mater lose to the conniving Bubba or will he prevail to prove he's the big tow in town?"
Issue #4:
- "It's the Rust Bucket Derby finale as the two most famous tow trucks in the World of Cars settle the score in an all out demolition derby. Will Bubba's cheating ways carry him to victory? Will Mater's heart of gold triumph? Will Red be headed to the impound? All will be answered in this issue!"

- "Gear up for the next exciting arc in the Tow Mater series, 'Lost Loot of the Gasket Gang!' Mater stumbles upon a rumor of stolen loot left behind long ago by the nefarious Gasket Gang, but like it or not, Bubba's back and he's on the same trail. Who will find it first?"
Issue #6:
- The Radiator Springs crew continues their epic search for the Lost Loot of the Gasket Gang. As their quest brings them to the ghost town of Jerome, our crew has no idea what traps and surprises await them. A red line of an adventure with Sally, Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater and their familiar foe, Bubba!
