The Florida International Super Speedway is a Piston Cup speedway located in Florida. It is where the Florida 500 is held.

In the 1950s, it was named the Florida International Speedway. However, it was renovated at some point and renamed the Florida International Super Speedway. In Cars 3, the Florida 500 is held at the Florida International Super Speedway. Prior to the event, Jackson Storm manages to set the record for the fastest lap ever recorded. During the Florida 500, Storm leads the pack for most of the race, until Lightning McQueen decides to withdraw. Cruz Ramirez enters the race in place of McQueen and manages to pass Storm and win the race by utilizing a variety of techniques she learned while training with Lightning.[1]

Florida International Speedway is one of the many locations' players can race at in Cars 3: Driven to Win.

Miss Fritter's Racing Skoool=

In Miss Fritter's Racing Skoool, archival footage of the track is shown on tv briefly before the ad for Miss Fritter's racing school plays.

  • The track is based on the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.
  • Art director Noah Clocek said of the speedway's sleek, modern look, "We were tasked with creating a racetrack that really embraced modernism...It represents what Jackson Storm, and all the rest of the next-gen racers are bringing to the sport."[2]
  • Although this track is actually a semi oval, the scene where Natalie Certain reviews the Next-Gen's strategy on racing with Chick Hicks, Florida International Super Speedway's layout is shown with one similar to Motor Speedway of the South.
