Shannon Spokes is an on-the-track reporter in the Piston Cup Racing Series. She drives up alongside racers and interviews them in the middle of the action. Her number plate is RSNSPKS.
History
In Cars 3, Spokes interviews Piston Cup racers. In the 2016 season of the Piston Cup Racing Series, after Lightning McQueen wins the Dinoco Light 350, she interviews him and asks how he keeps his focus while racing against Bobby Swift and Cal Weathers and watches as Cal and his team, along with Bobby, prank Lightning by spraying him with foam and throwing confetti at him. Later she interviews Cal after his win at the Rocker Arms International, but Lightning, along with Bobby and Guido, inflate Cal's tires with Lightning McQueen-themed balloons in order to prank him. Near the end of the season, during Los Angeles 500 race at Los Angeles International Speedway, she says there are 40 laps left and Jackson Storm goes to the pit road with McQueen right behind him and says that a good pit stop from either of them could mean the difference between victory and defeat.
She speaks at the Florida International Super Speedway, where she tells the audience that Jackson Storm clocked 214 miles per hour while doing a practice lap.
