Regarding file uploads/replacement
Thank you for joining the wiki and I appreciate your interest in improving the character art library. However, I am noticing instances where file info and categorization, as well as replacement procedures, are not being fully completed:
- Please make sure you select "Character artwork" from the dropdown list under "Licensing" on the file upload page. "Category:Character artwork" is meant to be added automatically by the accompanying template, not manually.
- Likewise, if you're unsure which specific style guide or promotional kit an artwork originates from, please at least categorize it into "Category:Cars (franchise) artwork". The aforementioned "Category:Character artwork" is a master list for licensing info, not inherently a complete list of character art itself.
- This I don't believe is formally stated anywhere (yet), but regarding background removals, transparent versions of character art are only really preferable if they retain 100% of the imagery from the original. This is difficult to achieve especially with AI programs, which tend to interfere with certain elements for artificial enhancements.
- Finally, when moving an image, it is important to ensure that all links are updated to isolate the old one and correct to the new one. That includes userpages and other instances outside "list of reused artwork" and the typical character page setup. You also are not following the delete template system to tag them. Don't blank pages: It is harder for the admins to track the work that needs to be done, which is maintained at our order and discretion based on review.
In short: Please read through at least the move and delete guidelines as those should cover most of what I mentioned above. In lack of one, I also plan on writing up a formal rule set for character art in the coming days, to ensure there is a proper system and reference point. Your block was just temporary to stop ongoing activity while issuing this message; That is now lifted and not a "spot on the record" so to speak, though this should be considered a reminder.

Hello. thank you for understanding. I wasn't, and never have any intentions to attempt or tried to destroy your wiki. I just want to uploaded improved version of personality pose, which some are low quality and have background. I uploaded these to fix those issues.
But sometimes, I encounter an issue: I want to uploaded image with .png extention for most of the time it's for characters personality pose with background removed, but the one im trying to replace have .jpg extention. I am aware of a feature that let you move files, but I never quite figured how it work and I don't know how to delete file and I thought that was a admin thing. So I ended up blanking the jpg one and add the information from it to the png version. I'm sorry if this tactic was unprofessional and inconvenient, I'm still new here and are figured how things works everyday.
The reason why I uploaded artwork without background is because I want it to be usable in works like video or editing. With background, it's hard and you have to remove them manually so I just remove the background. And most artworks on the wiki doesn't have background so I also thought of removing them to fit with the other. The only type of artwork that I don't remove background is one with a part of it that got covered like example, 2020 blue desert artwork that most of them got cut off so yeah, those I left them untouched. And I understand that the quality will sometimes be reduce less than the original version with background so I'll wait for the upcoming policy.
About Category, sometimes I only added the Character artwork category is because I never thought fully of it and sometimes, other would just added the category for me so it become a habit for me to just not adding it at all, thinking and wanting that someone would do it themselves. another thing about it is I also kinda hates adding category. A few days ago, I added the Characters artwork category to every orthos view that was uploaded because I noticed some orthos has it and some dont and adding it to all of them is quite exhausting, so that might be another thing that keep me out of adding category. So I apologize for not adding proper category and will try to add more than just Character artwork category from now
Thanks for reading, I'm still trying to improve by learning how thing works to ensure that I don't make mistakes. Again, I never have any bad intentions and were just want to help and contributing to the wiki.
And I have a question: So before you blocked me, I was in the middle of uploading artworks for certain characters artwork because some are low quality, the saturation/lighting are off. I found a few clear versions from the World Of Cars online race badge but they have a outline and I decided to removing the outline to uploaded those versions that's clearer. So, can I continue to adding those versions without the outline? I won't added them until you let me know.
