"Tell him... nothing."

- Unnamed Agent, Oktoberfest deleted scene

The unnamed agent is a conceptual character from an early version of Cars 2. He is disguised as a waiter at the Munich opening party, who plants a device containing secret information on Mater's undercarriage. Later, the agent flees to a nearby Oktoberfest celebration after he is discovered by the lemons, dying from his injuries after being beaten up by the lemons.

History

The unnamed agent does not appear in Cars 2, but was a crucial character in an early version of the story. The agent collects significant sensitive information on the lemons' operations on a device, planning on passing the device to Finn McMissile at the WGP Munich opening party (much like Rod Redline in the Tokyo party). At some point during the Munich Museum party, the agent's cover is blown, and he meets Mater, planting the device on his undercarriage. The agent is then pursued by 3 lemons, fleeing to a nearby Oktoberfest party where he is cornered and badly beaten, but manages to temporarily evade the lemons by dropping a smoke pellet. In the end, the lemons catch him and dump him in the artificial river of a haunted house, where he briefly encounters Mater, telling him to tell Finn McMissile "nothing" before dying of his injuries.

Trivia

  • This character is likely an early version of Rod Redline, as they both serve a similar purpose in their respective stories and meet similar fates
    • It is entirely possible this character is supposed to be Rod Redline, but since his name isn't known, this cannot be confirmed
  • This is the third secret agent we know to be killed by the lemons in the early version of Cars 2, the first being Leland Turbo and the second being Healey
  • It is unknown why he told Mater to tell Finn "nothing", perhaps he knew the lemons were watching Mater and didn't want to compromise Finn
  • Although we only see this agent in the Oktoberfest scene, we know for sure he appeared in the Munich Museum scene that preceded it, since this is the reason:
    • Mater recognises him
    • He is disguised as a waiter
    • He and Mater cross over the same hill to get to the festival (they both come from the direction of the museum)
    • The lemons are chasing him (presumably his cover was just blown)
  • It is possible part of the reason the agent was at the Oktoberfest party was because he was looking for Mater (for backup) after mistaking him for a spy
    • It is also possible Mater and the agent's 'rendezvous' was interrupted and the agent needed to give Mater more info
