Munich Museum (scene)
In an early version of Cars 2, the WGP's opening party was going to take place in the Munich Museum, in Germany, rather than Tokyo. Although the scene has never been officially released, it is referenced in Oktoberfest and appears in the Art of Cars 2, giving us a picture of certain events we know occurred during the scene.
Plot
The scene would begin with McQueen and Mater driving across a red carpet into the museum, with Mater presumably embarrassing McQueen repeatedly, similar to the dynamic in the Tokyo party scene. At some point Mater would briefly come across a friendly waiter, who unbeknownst to Mater, is a secret agent in disguise. It is unknown how, but Mater unwittingly convinces the agent that he is a fellow spy, causing the agent to place the device on Mater's undercarriage. At this point, the agent's cover would be blown, which results in the lemons attacking him. Meanwhile, the WGP racers are being introduced, presumably in a similar fashion to the final film. Mater continues to embarrass McQueen, which ultimately leads to Mater leaving the museum to avoid upsetting McQueen and taking a drive in the direction of the nearby hills (this leads directly to the 'Oktoberfest' scene). The agent manages to escape, but is badly injured, realising he cannot outrun the lemons in his condition, he leaves the museum, racing to the nearby Oktoberfest party, where he hopes to hide and lose them in the crowd.
