Radiator Springs' Municipal Impound,[1] often referred as simply the impound lot,[2] is a location introduced in Cars (2006). It is the local deposit and prison, located downtown. In May 2006, Lightning McQueen (and later the Tuner gang) was held there for speeding.
History
The impound lot was Lightning McQueen's "first stop" when he arrived in Radiator Springs.[2] He was fitted with a yellow parking boot and surveilled by Mater, until Sheriff arrived to escort him to traffic court for his trial.
In Cars: The Videogame, the Tuner gang were arrested for theft of McQueen's gear, where they revealed who contracted them for the heist.
