Don Crumlin & Petrov Trunkov
Hi! I saw you undid my edits. There were actually two purple Gremlins on the oil rig chasing Finn. When first sped onto the ramp, one of the Gremlins was J. Curby, which you were right about. However, in some wide shots of that same scene, you can see a Gremlin in darker purple without a yellow stripe, confirming it to be Don. It looks like there were two purple Gremlins on the oil rig, J. Curby Gremlin and Don Crumlin. You can also see the purple Gremlin on the oil rig in the explosion, which couldn't have been J. Curby Gremlin since he obviously survived later in the movie. ~~ Dean Holman-LiVecchi (talk), 7 July 2026
First of all, I never said that purple Gremlin on the oil rig was J. Curby Gremlin, and no, he's not. That one has dirt spots, while J. on the other hand doesn't, and has a shiny and clean look. And second, that dark purple Gremlin is actually just the same one as the J. Curby Gremlin lookalike. It's the lighting that's making him look darker. The same can be said for pretty much every other Lemon who entered that spiral staircase. ~~ Lubi The Cat (talk), 7 July 2026
Well are you sure that the Lemons in the opening scene weren't Don and Petrov? Some characters have differences from their diecasts, so isn't it possible that those two are the characters but with altered diecasts? ~~ Dean Holman-LiVecchi (talk), 7 July 2026
Don definitely didn't appear in the film. I've looked everywhere. While it's possible that Trunkov on the helipad with a bit of red on their left side is actually Petrov as his personality pose didn't really show HIS left side, it's much safer to assume that Petrov just got cut by getting replaced with Grem. I mean, we've literally seen concept art of Petrov at the Haneda Airport, which is a location where Grem appeared in the film, and one of the concept arts even shows him with Acer, who is literally Grem's partner in crime. And also, that 2011 Mattel Character Stars 3-pack with him, Acer, and Holley Shiftwell with Wings further proves that. ~~ Lubi The Cat (talk), 7 July 2026
In regards to the Petrov Trunkov article, how do you know THAT is the reason Mattel released him with Acer? It sounds like speculation to me. ~~ Dean Holman-LiVecchi (talk), 7 July 2026
I mean, why else would they include Petrov instead of Grem? ~~ Lubi The Cat (talk), 7 July 2026
