ENGINPWR

That rumor started back in 2013 when Teancum (the founder of Cars: Hi-Octane Edition) posted some early gameplay screenshots of his mods, one of which depicted Snot Rod from the player's perspective. Someone on the Pixar Wiki found them and uploaded them, where we tried to figure out what they were (as none of us knew at the time where the images came from, nor that the games could actually be modded.)

That eventually sparked a rumor that you could unlock Snot Rod in the PC version of the game if you typed "ENGINPWR" in the cheat code section. Since I didn't have the PC game at the time, and I was younger and stupider, I fell for that and posted a YouTube video containing Mater-National cheat codes, and it contained that one. People quickly informed me that it didn't work in the comments section, but I guess someone didn't get the memo and added it to the Mater-National wiki, which you apparently stumbled upon.

So long story short, it's just a rumor, and since it was created by uninformed fans instead of a trusted source (like the Sonic and Tails rumor from Super Smash Bros. Melee was,) it's not the type of thing that belongs on the wiki.

I never said the rumour did not exist. But my point was that there should have been a source to backup the fact. Also I had my doubts whether such a rumour belonged on the page. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 02:52, December 6, 2015 (UTC)
