Scorchy the Deer is a fictional deer character that warns tourists about the fires that ravage Piston Peak National Park and how bad they might be. He can be spotted during the evacuation scene on a roadsign.

- He is a parody of Smokey the Bear, an anthropomorphic bear mascot used to promote the prevention of forest fires, but is a deer instead of a bear, as deers are one of the most well-known animals in Piston Peak.
