Monte-Carl was a scrapped character from the storyline of Cars back in 1999. He was supposed to be a Piston Cup race car sponsored by ACME. He has the number 55.

- His name also references the Chevrolet Monte Carlo, which was a car model ran in NASCAR during the production of the film.
- He is a creation of the characters Monty "Lightning" McQueen and Carl.
