The Dinoco Tent (or Dinoco Stage)[1] is a mobile platform stage belonging to and representing the Dinoco racing team. It is typically brought to Piston Cup races, where the "Dinocuties" provide entertainment to the press cars.[2]
It also appears as a customizable track piece in the Cars: Fast as Lightning (2014) mobile game, at the price of 20 gems once available.
Behind the scenes
The Dinoco Stage is a rectangular, blue stage setup, with entry ramps on the front and side. In the original Cars film, the glitz and glamour provides a stark contrast to the humble, cramped visuals inside the Rust-eze tent, the framing of each reflecting how McQueen sees them.
A 2004 pen and marker drawing, sketched by Jay Shuster and included in The Art of Cars, depicts the "Dinoco Team" stage similar to its final appearance; instead of dancing Dinocuties, tires and tool carts instead resemble a garage, while The King's mechanics prepare him.
Playsets depicting the Stage were released in 2008 by MEGA BLOKS®, as well as by Mattel in their Mini Adventures line.
