Cars: Race-O-Rama/Glitches
This is a list of glitches in the game Cars: Race-O-Rama.
Glitches
Guido's eyes
On the PlayStation 2 version, Guido's eyes go in the opposite direction of where he is turning.
Tokyo Mater
Also on the PlayStation 2, in Tokyo Mater, Mater says his winning phrase twice while Mia and Tia do not say their congratulatory phrases.
Out of sync voices
Like in Cars: Mater-National Championship, sometimes the characters' lines are not aligned with their mouths.
Stuck glitch
Sometimes the Player can get stuck in a 45° angle with no chance of moving or jumping. The only way to fix this is reset the race. Guido is more prone to this glitch.
Guido Kart
Guido's poor physics and collision data makes him constantly get through objects and walls, making him fall into the void.
Out of bounds
In exploration mode, some walls will have no collision, causing the player to fall into the void. This can happen in Radiator Springs and Tailfin Pass.
Photo Op 5 glitch
In Photo Op 5, if you fall off the road you won't reset and you will be in a endless fall. The only way to fix this is restart the minigame.
Final race cut-scene (PSP)
In the cut-scene before the final race on the PSP version, Chick comments on Lightning's new look, but Lightning does not have a new look. Chick also mentions the VINs, who do not appear in the handheld version. This is because the cut-scenes use the same audio from the console version. The students have different paint jobs but appear with their console paint jobs in the cut-scenes.
Clone cars
In Story Mode, a duplicate of Mia can sometimes be seen in Photo Op 3. Similarly, in Transporters 1 and 2, players might find duplicates of Doc and Flo respectively. This is because the same cars appear driving around each city in the events as they do in exploration.
Speeding past cars
In the PlayStation 3 version while in free roam, all NPC vehicles will react with voice lines as if Lightning is speeding past them, even if the player is calmly driving or not moving at all.
OVER ACHIEVER!
In Xbox 360, there is an unobtainable Achievement called "OVER ACHIEVER!" (one has to earn every achievement in the game to unlock it). This is an achievement too, and because of this, one cannot earn it and only get 900/1000 Gamerscore. A few players got it, but it was probably via hacking as nobody can have it legitimately.
